How to Download Your Files from SVGWave

At SVGWave, we make it easy for you to access your purchased or free digital downloads immediately. This guide explains the three main ways to download your files and what to do if something goes wrong.

1. Download Immediately After Checkout

Once your order is complete, you will be redirected to a confirmation page. On this page, you’ll see a Download button next to each item you’ve purchased. Simply click to download your ZIP file containing:

• SVG (vector cut file)
• PNG (transparent image)
• EPS (editable vector file)
• DXF (for Silhouette Basic Edition)

📌 Tip: You can unzip the file using built-in tools on Windows or Mac, or free tools like WinRAR or 7-Zip.

If you’re on mobile, we recommend downloading and unzipping on a desktop for best results, as mobile devices may not handle ZIP files or multi-format content well.

2. Download via Email

Shortly after your purchase, SVGWave will send you a confirmation email that contains:

• Your order details
• Direct download links for each purchased item

If you don’t see the email within 5–10 minutes, be sure to check your Spam, Promotions, or Junk folder. If you still haven’t received it, you can contact our team directly.

3. Download from Your Account Dashboard

If you created an account during checkout or already had one:

1. Log in to your SVGWave account at svgwave.com/account
2. Click on Downloads
3. Locate the product and click the Download button

This option is especially useful if you’re returning later to access your files again, or if you lost the original download email.

4. Understanding the Downloaded Files

Your download will arrive as a ZIP archive. Inside, you’ll typically find:

• .svg for vector cutting
• .png for printing or previews
• .eps for professional editing
• .dxf for older Silhouette Studio versions

You can use these files with machines like Cricut Maker, Explore Air, Silhouette Cameo, Brother ScanNCut, and various design programs (Illustrator, Inkscape, etc.).

Troubleshooting Common Issues

File won’t open or unzip?
Use a compatible tool like WinRAR, 7-Zip, or Mac’s built-in Archive Utility. Avoid extracting on mobile browsers when possible.

Download expired or broken?
While downloads generally don’t expire, if a file fails to download or the link doesn’t work, email us with your order info.

Didn’t receive your email?
Check your spam/junk folder, or ensure you entered the correct email during checkout. Contact support if needed.

Accidentally deleted your files?
We can resend them—just include your order number or email used during purchase.

5. Helpful Tips for Managing Files

• Create a folder on your desktop or cloud drive for SVGWave downloads
• Rename folders with project or theme names for easy searching
• Backup your design files regularly, especially if you craft often
